Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
